Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD
If there is one thing that I learn about all vibration, it is that mass helps a great deal. My present turntable weighs a hundred pounds and needs to be on a rack. It was a beast to get it there, as I was the only one around. At first I was somewh...

Tsushima1, I certain have experience the loss of volume with the HFC speaker wires on the Enhanced, Ultimates, and Ultimate Reference, but it is not on all recording. This just mystifies me as does this effect going away. Since I have a most limit...
Is computer audio a bust?
Agear, several truths drive me to my basic indifference to this thread. One, using a music server is far more convenient than playing cds or sacds. Two data that is repeatedly read off the optical drive and then replayed off that drive is more acc...
Is computer audio a bust?
Foster_9, I was curious about that also, but I do think the BMC transport and the Oppo drives plus the Esoteric drives are also good; no where near the cds ripped to hard drives, however.

Mattnshilp, I have tried a very full range of room treatments and only found one that works very well and as a plus also is relative unobtrusive. I need to premise this by saying that both of my rooms are largely symmetrical. One is a 18' wide, 25...

Charles1dad, well in retrospect and not having removed all prior HFC stuff perhaps a better way to say this is that it gave the biggest jump. When Rick was here, we put it between the wall and his Waveguide power center and after it settled in and...

Geoffkait, if you know that current flowing induces a magnetic field, why were you asking about how magnets can affect something without mass? Ever run a magnet along a cable attached to your speakers? What I don't understand is how a constant magn...

Badman, I heard all of this in EE classes and then I took physics.
Computer vs CD/SACD discs
Rgs92, no, I did not do it myself. Empirical Audio Legacy did it for me. He is a pro guy who also made my prototype Mac Mini and makes the TuneBank. He hopes ultimately to sell his units retail and to make this service available. On the Exemplar e...
Can a tiny silver bowl affect music reproduction
Mapman, there is a good deal more to it than just being Tibetan bowls.
