Isolation feet/cones for PS Audio NuWave DSD DAC

Hey all,

I am debating between Large DH Cones and Herbies Tenderfeet.
Anyone have experience specifically with this DAC?

Thanks!

I'm using (3) Herbies Tenderfeet under my NuWave DSD DAC. Whatever footers you decide to use, I suggest using three rather than four due to the dimensions of the unit and to have minimal contact with the shelf.

On my Perfectwave transport I use 4 tall Tenderfeet with an Edensound damping weight over the transport.
Itsik, I placed the Herbies in the front corners and one in the rear. The sound is more defined, most noticeably in the low-end. I’m thinking about trying a damping weight on top, but it may not need it since the NuWave is pretty heavy for its size.

My components sit atop wood shelves, so the Herbies work for me providing vibration absorbtion. 3 cones may work well depending on the shelf or platform you have.
I’m going to give the DH a try. PS Audio uses a large toroidal transformer in this small device.
 it’s the next hardest material to diamond. DH Cones. Accept no substitutes.

So funny... (if you've seen the website).
It's the marketing that is funny to me;
"so advanced it's used in the aerospace industry and by NASA...
almost as hard as diamond."
Changing the subject a bit, but would Large DH Cones work under a turntable?
The TT sits on a bamboo platform with Herbies footers underneath. Looking for footers that would drain vibration from the TT to the platform. Need a budget solution.
Thanks, @geoffkait . If the DH Cones function the same way as brass cones do, but at a low cost, I will give them a try. Not sure if I should use the Large or Jumbo for a heavy TT.
@geoffkait , appreciate the advice.
One more thing; the Jumbo look more "rounded" than the Super (or is it my imagination?). If so, I imagine a footer that had more of a pointed shape would offer better results, yes?

And will a TT be stable with only 3 footers?
Thanks.
Many thanks. I like the idea of using the Super, they may also provide more stability. I'm using a Linn Axis, which uses "trickle-down" technology from the early LP-12.
  It has 3 stock feet, which offer no isolation plus a heavy aluminum platter.
Hello, @geoffkait ,
  I'm now using large DH Cones under my DAC and will be ordering the jumbo for my tube amp. Got a question for you; the component slides on the wood shelf when I touch the faceplate. Would using a thin layer of cork under the cone still be effective for draining vibration?
I know the Squares are available, but I'd like to save money to buy more cones.
Thanks.
