What is the most memorable concert that you had attended so far?

I do not go to concert very often, maybe once or twice a year.

I listen to music mostly through my audio system as much as 4 hours a day.

The most memorable concert that I had attended is the solo recital by Nathan Milstein held at Auditorium of UC Berkely on 1983.

He is one of the virtuoso violinist of the 20th century.

But he was 79 when he played at the recital on 1983.

When he played Partita by Bach, it was not his best.

Although he showed some of his skills, he could not keep up with the fast tempo as much as I wanted.

But as soon as he started playing "
César Franck, Violin Sonata in A Major.
".

I just marveled at the sweet sound of violin.

I could realize why he is one of the virtuoso violinist of the 20th century.

He died on 1992 so it is now impossible to attend his live recital again.

How about you ladies and gentlemen?

What is the most memorable concert that you had attended?

@bdp24

You attended many nice ones.

When I was in Berkeley on 1980’s, I was listening to mostly classical music.

Thus I attended only classical concerts at that time.

But now I regret not having attended "Grateful Dead" concert held at Berkeley Pavilion. .

Ii would have been fun surrounded with colorful shirts
@boxer12

You had been to "Grateful Dead" concert several times.

I am envious of you. If I can go back to 80’s, I would attend it.

I was too conservative at that time.

I thought Grateful Dead was for Hippie.

@photon46

You had been to many nice concerts.

Most memorable is not always the best.

I can not forget the intensity of Maestro playing violin at the age of 79 in so romantic way.
@ sejodiren

Wow you had listened to  Andres Segovia at the Royal Albert Hall in London!

I would love to have attended it.

@ mitchagain

You had been to many nice ones.

I enjoy listening to Pink Floyd and Eric Clapton.

It would have been nice if had a chance to attend their concert.
@bdp24

I had lived in Chicago from  1989 to 1991.

It would have been nice to see Beach Boys in Chicago.

Michigan lake is like sea with beautiful beaches on it.
@slaw

You had been to many nice ones.

I rarely go to live concerts these days just listening to audio system at my home.

But I shall explore the way to find live sound in more exciting stage.
@ unreceivedogma

You had been to nice ones.
I agree with you that small venue will give more intimate impression.

On 1988, I had been to Pavarotti recital which was held at Oakland Pavilion to play professional basketball.

He had to use microphone so it was just like watching music video.
@rollintubes

You had been to many nice ones!

I wish I had been to live concert of Bruce Springsteen. I want to know why he is called boss.
@rpeluso

It was a quite experience to go to Beatles at the age of 12.

I wish that my father had done same thing to me.

I am impressed with  79 years old maestro play violin in so romantic way.

It was the most memorable one for me.
@reubent

What a nice surprise!

Your wife has a wonderful husband.

I used to enjoy listening to Elton John through CD.

I am wondering what was the live sound like.
@ leoniruii

Come on, give me a break!

Please list few of only most memorable ones.

You make people jealous!
@ glupson

I brought my family of five to "Phantom of Opera" held at Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas on 2011.

They enjoyed it very much and the show got discontinued soon after that.

I am also a nice father to my three children.
@three_easy_payments

When I was young, I also used to play Deep Purple.

It must be quite experience to go to their rehearsal.
@ robertwisconsin1

You have been to many nice ones.

I wish I had been to Peter Gabriel and Simon and Garfunkel, not Simon by himself.
@boxer12

Congratulation for your daughter getting Ph. D.

May I know what is her field?

I have one son(oldest) and two daughters.

I have good relation with all of my children.

It is good for your to have boy's time in concert.

Your daughter may not like to spend time outside.

@d2girls

You must be very passionate to shed tears after attending "Wicked in Chicago"

I had lived in Chicago for 2 years long time ago.

I am tempted to watch that musical.
@ the_treble_with_tribbles

Ha Ha I would like to attend Moody Blues but with twice fast rhythm it would have been crazy.

Elton John plays piano very well, so it must be fun to watch him at close range.
@ richopp

Wow, you had been  to live concerts of  Rolling Stones, Beatles, Linda Ronstadt and Eagles.

I am envious of your experience.

Now I have no choice other than listening through my audio system.
@armstrod

It must have been very nice to listen to big band in intimate setting with 400 people.

I am listening to Autumn Leaves by Eva Cassidy now.

Her  beautiful  voice makes me cry.

How come she goes to heaven that early.

It would have been wonderful I had gone to her live concert.
@boxer12

I had listened to several version of "Autumn Leaves".

But Eva Cassidy's version is way best.

Her somewhat sibilant voice make feel sad.

He is very good at playing Baroque music.

Nice experience!
@stargazer

It is always nice to attend intimate recital.

I wish to attend live drum concerts which I had not.
@ tzh21y

If you attend the  Public Image Limited in an intimate setting, it would have been intense and memorable experience.
@ lhasaguy

It would be really nice to have been Allman Bros Band concert.

Also you did not miss the train even after enjoying the last song.

I wish I had been there too.
@reubent

It must feel good to attend The Tubes concert after farm kid from KY.

It is always fun to attend live concert.
@ chrisoshea

You had been to live concert of Dick Hyman.

Since I had enjoyed his music through CD, I wish to have been there.

You had been to many nice ones
