Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

The bug strikes again, opportunity knocks?

There's a very nice looking pair of CS2.4's up for sale here by a good retail shop for $1995.  It's within striking distance of my home. Well, 70 miles or so...

Quiry:. Do I move up from my CS3.5's or...?

both the CS 2.2 and CS 2.3 are still excellent speakers!

Oblgny, the 2.4's will be smoother, more refined in the upper midrange/treble, the 3.5's are more coherent throughout, have deeper bass and is much easier to drive.

Many, if not most would choose the 2.4's, I much prefer the sealed box 3.5's.
