YamahaS1000 SACD player

I bought this player and to my surprise it sound really really good, very musical
on redbood and Sacd, the problem the Sacd section skips and at times ,it will  stop, Any owners of this player experience this? My thought is a laser issue.The reason I bought this unit because I have plenty of Sacd disc collection. I can still return this unit though. Thanks

Iam really considering returning it, Jafant this unit sounds unbelievable even on redbook it has huge soundstage,very powerful and smooth.

The more I think about it, the more I have to agree with most.  You lose nothing by returning it except for the time waiting for a replacement.  You could have received a sample that had the lazer move out of alignment oh so slightly which the result was the intermittent skipping.  As I mentioned, I am way more than pleased with every aspect of the CD-S1000 and think that it is a unit worth another go around with one new in box.

no one is suggesting a different model, just return it and get one that works properly - this model is available new and used...
