After accidently shorting out my wonderful pair of Audire 125 wpc Audires, I am using a 3b and a 4b. They actually sound pretty good, but they pale in comparison to what I am used to. I guess that when you compare a 200 wpc amp with 2 375 watt transformers, 4 4600 mf caps, and 8 outputs with my 125 watt Audires, each with 2 500 watt transformers, 12 big Motorola 1500 watt outputs, and 8 26000 mf caps, it is easy to guess which one sounds better. FYI, the difference between the Audire 125 watt amp and the 4b is much greater than between the 4b and 3b. Alas, Julius got dementia and bo longer repairs his product. For the first time in. 40 years, he did not answer the phone at Audire when I called.
