If I were doctor on residential practice, I wouldn't buy any speakers since there would be no time to listen to them.
Becides there is no money there.
My friend gave me his vinyl collection for the period of his residencial practice since he doesn't have any time to listen to them.
If he realy needs speakers he has to go to the listening room and listen to different speakers with probably same electronics. Maybe he would just be OK with cheap and small monitors for the beginning.
I would go with the 300 series B&Ws too or any speaker fairly forgiving of electronics. Am I correct in guessing that he is a fairly casual listener, HT type of guy? Paradigm Reference might also do well with off-axis and HT use.
I think Mr. Marakanetz sums it up quite nicely and considering the amp is a Sony
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS , WE WILL HAVE TO DO SOME UP GRADES .HE LIKES A SIMPLE EASY TO USE SYSTEM THAT WILL DO BOTH VIDEO AND AUDIO, HE IS NOT AN AUDIOPHILE.
Now Tennisball has given us some info--I think Bose or maybe Bang and Olufsen. They are the masters at simple and easy to use--and you don't have to worry about them being too Audiophile.
