Oppo Ceasing production
I would think Cambridge Audio would be in a position to buy the rights to build Oppo products under their own badge. I’m sure they’ve been talking with others as well. Marantz and others have stopped making Blu-ray players and soon it will be the ...

Wonderful speakers that I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. Only advice I can give if you don’t figure it out is call Paul McGowan of PS Audio. With Arnie gone Paul probably knows who to ask if he doesn’t have the answer. Good luck.
Digital cables Kimber d60 vs Nordost Valhalla digital cables
Nordost Silver Shadow. Just picked one up new for $250. Nordost has a few NOS at some of their dealers still left; was a $500 cable. My local shop has a few left.
Appropriate quality interconnect between Oppo 203 and Denon AVR? Suggestions please!
If you don’t have a local Wywires dealership, which I don’t; I’ve had great luck buying directly from Alex. If he has cables he used at shows he might offer you a great price to move older inventory. He’s very helpful and will take the time to tal...
Upgrading speaker cables...
I Introduced Kimber to one of our local brick and mortar shops back in the 80’s and they still carry them today. I’ve owned both the 4tc and 8tc and good cables but there’s so much better out there and one doesn’t have to spend a lot to hear it. T...

Back to the original question; you are better with one better set with jumpers than two pairs of a lesser cables. Just use what you have for now and make some simple jumpers of your own with some decent cable which should outperform the cheap jump...

mr_m.I’m getting close to pulling the trigger on a Bluesound Vault 2 and I have a Cambridge 851c as well. Question I have is did you ever run your Node through your 851 c and if so how did it sound? If you have not changed out both fuses on your 8...
Preamp: Parasound P5 vs Rotel RC1590
Not heard the Cambridge 851E but have the 851A which is a fabulous piece - both Sonics and built quality. I have heard the Parasound and I’d say comparing to the 851A integrated going against Parasound A23 and P5 which I am familiar with I’d lean ...
Cd Player Choices To Match Up to Vintage Electronics
Was going to throw out the CAL Icon II as well but it’s a risk only because of age. For what I see others asking for them I’d just buy a new entry Marantz that will probably walk all over the great old CAL anyway. Look for a Marantz CD5005.
