When I upgrade speaker crossover inductors, I like to change iron core inductor to air core. Air core inductor will be much bigger than iron core in order to keep the DCR as close as possible.

1.5V across 6 Ohms = 0.25A or 0.325 Watt Correction: 1.5V across 6 ohms = 0.25A or 0.375 Watt I think the current is pass through the tweeter voice coil and charge up the cap, if there's 80VDC the voice coil will blow in seconds.

the driver was working, prior to being connected to a 33uF, non-polarized film cap and a C cell. It was reading 6 Ohms(correct nominal, according to the tweeter’s label), before it opened up. 1.5V across 6 Ohms = 0.25A or 0.325 Watt Back EMF? ...

How wide is the slot and how deep from the inside / back to the start of the flare? Is the inside edge eased / rounded in any way? The slot is about 1/2" wide x 12" long, inside the speaker there’s a about 1" thick x 2.5" height wooden wall around...

Which amp will cause a larger increase in electric bill?
If sitting idle (power on), which will cost more, a class A 100 watt (Threshold) vs a 250 watt A/AB (Threshold)? I have both and a few more. I'm not worried about electric bill, just wondering. Kill A Watt
