What responsibility does a seller have to tell a customer an item has been serviced?
No, you ask questions next time around !!!  Caveat Emptor!  Before you drive all the way there, and trade him 2 of your units + cash for his unit, you ask questions, you find out about the gear you are acquiring!  Please stop driveling on about th...
New Member And few questions on First Tube Amp.
Most of my sources don't have a remote so that's not a big issue for me.  The Cayins are excellent.Just saw this one in the DC area:https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ele/d/silver-spring-cayin-88t-integrated-tube/6805903082.htm... and actuall...
New Member And few questions on First Tube Amp.
The Marantz is pretty high powered, you'll need to look at a KT88 or 6550 PP tube amp.  If you look at Roger Modjeski's comments from his thread "ask an amp designer a question" I dont think he was so keen on Prima Luna's products.  If you got a c...
What responsibility does a seller have to tell a customer an item has been serviced?
The dealer sounds like a BS'er.  Personally, I wouldnt want to do business again with someone who gave me that kind of story.  You made the original deal in haste, of which you realize, but the rest of the dealers reactions seem off base... yes, w...

I agree with Elizabeth; you even mention this morning that, "There was no problem with unit operation" - so just move on.  Sell the unit if you don't like it and chalk it up to lesson learned. We've all made hasty decisions, those of us who have be...

Cool looking tuner, looks to be made for the European market.
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably?
I'm sorry, what does HEA stand for?IMHO, I have found the class D or Chip Amps all are missing something.  To me, they all sound a little dry and all need a tube preamp to compliment them.  They are quite musical though :)

Thats interesting!  Those Pioneers were great tuners!
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably?
Funny, I'm finding myself squarely stuck in the 80's when it comes to audio gear and rather enjoying it.  Been a classic B&K guy for a long time as this is my 4th B&K amp (2 - ST140's, an EX442 Sonata & now an ST202), but would love to...

Since my sabbatical
Hi rhljazz,What does something like a streamer and Tidal Subscription cost?  Is that anything like a Squeeze Box?  I'm very old school myself with a vinyl, CD, and Cassette collection - no 8 tracks though - Ha!  I've noticed that since I got rid o...
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open.
I realize I'm only on pg 7 of this wonderful blog, but I must chime in.Dear Mr. Modjeski,Thank you so much for taking all of this time to provide such great information for all of us.  Your honesty and humility is so refreshing and the graceful wa...
Which Amp to complete my system?
I totally agree with you analogluvr and I'm a huge fan of EL84 amps.  I used to sell Klipsch at retail many years ago (early 90's) and we always had them featured with a high powered Yamaha or Denon receiver and I hated them.  Then I bought a pair...
Which Amp to complete my system?
You really want to hear what those LaScala's can do?  Put them on a low powered SET amp like a 2A3 or 45.  Case Closed.
