| Integrated w/phono but no DAC Get a vintage Yamaha receiver. They have a decent phono section with a neutral sound. You could get a real nice one with your budget. | |

| how are you testing your own tubes? Ask some old timers in your neighborhood. I got a hickok 600a from my neighbor, in perfect shape, for 50$. He was so happy I was into tubes. He also gave me a huge box of tubes. Also, check on eBay. There’s plent o tube testers for sale. Good luck! | |

| Can you live with your current speaker until you die? I have diapason adamantes in one system and mc rl-21s in the other. I love both of these monitors. Set for life, probably not. The best I can say is that I’m not looking at speakers now. I’m only looking at upgrading the hardware. | |
