Hello boxer12,

"Asking for Flowers" is one hell of a record too!

Up next....Lucinda Williams "Ghosts of Highway 20"
Beth Gibbons / Out of season

+1 Slaw / Jenny Lewis, acid tongue is a GREAT album.
Kathleen Edwards "Asking for Flowers".....her records don't have the best sonics but she's an excellent singer/songwriter.
U2 "Pop"...… sides 1 & 2 are really good
Thompson Twins "Here’s to Future Days"....just wanted to here it again after 20 + years, production is very good, I always enjoyed this record.
Crooked Fingers "Breaks in the Armor".

Highly recommended! I had forgotten about this one until today. I’ve never seen it talked about here at all.

Rodney Crowell "Ain't Living Long Like This"  gold stamped/promo
Haley Bonar "Big Star"
Bon Iver "S/T"
J J Cale "Grasshopper"

@6t5-gto,

Interesting. I'll try it next time.
Tonight is
Van Morrison - Moondance
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Son Volt - Trace
The Cure - Acoustic Hits
@slaw on that Dylan Freewheeling - try side 3 on Dylan's Dream on 33, I did it by mistake one night and listened to it about 4 times in a row. It is actually really good in almost a Taj Mahal kinda way.
The Outlaws "Lady In Waiting"

David Bowie "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust" MFSL
Bob Dylan "Freewheelin’" MFSL/45rpm/stereo. Sounds really good. My complaint is...I wish MFSL would issue originally recorded (in mono) pressings first. I guess this is a marketing/profit decision on their part. I’m listening to "Freewheelin’" from the Mono box set now...It sounds really good! Interestingly, the vinyl is dead quiet on the mono box set.

up next... Atlanta Rhythm Section "Champagne Jam" MFSL

Johnny Keating and His All Stars - Swinging Scots
Hugh Masekele - Hope   (Audiophile goodness a must hear)
Plas Johnson - Positively (Audiophile goodness a must hear)
Ben Webster - The Soul of Ben Webster - 45 RPM AP - absolutely staggeringly great
Billy Holiday - All or Nothing - AP 45

just for the hell of it....

Sniff "n" the Tears "Fickle Heart"

"Driver’s Seat"... common’...

The Soft Boys "Underwater Moonlight"!!!
Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness"... sides... "Midnight" & "Starlight".
Tom Petty "Highway Companion"....check out "Saving Grace"

Around one year since he past. Previously, when I thought about him, I felt very sad, now I feel him in his music and it makes me glad!
Sugarloaf "S/T" …..check out "West of Tomorrow"

The record label is Liberty, I assume the original pressing. Interesting that on the label..."...visual sound". A good way to describe music if it’s worthy.

Tanita Tikaram "Closer to the People"  WOW
Stevie Nicks "Bella Donna"
….my two cents on "Meddle"...

I use to own the MFSL but sold it years ago after I then thought the UK EMI/Harvest sounded better. I also own the 2016 re-master and the UK blows it away.

………………………………………………………….

The Stray Birds "Magic Fire" …..great SQ!
I have an original first press EMI UK import on Harvest that I bought as a teenager in Cambridge, MA. Sounds good too.
@6t5-gto - I've only got one copy and it is an original Harvest SMAS 832. Sounds good to me....
@reubent is there a better copy of Meddle than others? Love that record but need another copy. The repro of Wish You Were Here is pretty good, didn't know about Meddle
Willie Nelson - Stardust - Mofi
The Cars - The Cars - Mofi
Steely Dan - Aja - schitt copy, I need a better one - still a perfect record
@boxer12,

I listened to "Trace" not too long ago....good stuff!

@6t5-gto,

Glad to have another side with me on "Mutations". The only Dead Can Dance lp I own is the original pressing of "Serpents Egg".

@reubent ,

Andrew Bird took me a little while at first to warm up to but really enjoy his stuff that I own. Looking forward at some point hearing his output after "Break it Yourself".

………………………………………………………………..

Beastie Boys "Check Your Head"
Steely Dan - "Gaucho" - Really good. The guest musician lineup is really top notch.
Queen - "A Night at the Opera" - My 14 Y.O. son wanted to hear it. I haven't listened all the way through in years. We enjoyed it immensely.
@boxer12

That one was pretty popular at the parties back in the day.
Exactly! That's why it took me 2 years to find a good, clean, cheap copy.......

Enjoy,

TIC
Reubent,
That one was pretty popular at the parties back in the day. Loved it.
Head East - "Flat as a Pancake". I've been looking for a clean copy for a couple of years whenever I'm at one of my LSR's. Picked up a really clean early release for $5.00 at Earworms in Milford, OH. Sounds pretty good.....
