Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

evolvist,

I can relate to everything that you have said,
I have great memories of my first real hi fi speakers which were Khorns when I was 19 yrs old and I remember the anticipation and frustration waiting for 2 months for a set of better tweeter drivers for those big horns.I ordered them through the mail and had to send a personal check but when I finally got them and installed them they sure did sound good back then. It's been so long ago I can't recall what brand of tweeter it was.

Then later I decided to rework the crossovers and that was a whole another adventure to say the least and I'm not gonna bore you guys with it.

Kenny.
A shout out to the greater Houston and southern / coastal Texas members to stay safe and out of harms way.
Well, it's always good to see a happy ending.

Helpful suggestions have been made.  For me, quality control is always critical.  Delays in shipment are far more forgivable..as long as the quality is there.  It sounds like Eric is on the same page.  Given that, I  encourage patience as Eric goes through growing pains.  Far better he hires skilled help rather than "get the job done quickly" help.

We all appreciate what Eric has done for the audio community.  And I'm glad he took the time to post here.  Here's wishing Tekton success in the future.
Porscheracer,
Thanks for the initial listening impressions of the two amplifiers. I was confident that if you just listen and focus on the music things would naturally sort themselves out. I’m not surprised that you and your wife express a decided preference for the Pioneer amplifier, more "natural and live" sounding as your wife pointed out. Pure class A well implemented will do that 😊. Watt quality versus watt quantity in my humble opinion . Congratulations.
