Maestro faceplate - does it make a difference?

Just use any decent $10 to $15 outlet - Hubbell and others make good solid ones.

You want a solid connection (for the amp) - nothing else matters at an AC power outlet

randy-11:  have you actually tried a Maestro outlet in comparison to a Hubbell in order to speak so authoritatively?  Or are you speaking from speculation based upon assumed principles?

I would buy a Porter Port before I bought Maestro duplex receptacle.

A non breakable nylon duplex plate will work just fine.
