Probably has been a money loser for some time, being in California,
I have a 20 year old Tele body, with a Koa top, wilky tremolo. Killer ’do it all" guitar. Doesn’t see much daylight, though. I prefer my beat up Gibson LP Special thru a Fender 65 DRRI.
Impossible to compete with the Fender corporate machine.I read somewhere that Guitar Center never has been profitable?
Edit:I read this went on couple of months ago. Misread your post, thinking the ENTIRE company(guitars) is done.I see just the pro sound gear is done. Guitars still made in Escondido, CA facility. Wasn't aware the audio and guitar mfg. split awhile ago.
