Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
James McMurtry and the Heartless Bastards - "Live in Aught-Three"

I love this record. If you are a fan of Americana or Alt-Country and/or you love "gee-tar" driven live recordings, check this one out. It has an authenticity you don’t usually get from more mainstream artist.

At a minimum, its worth checking out on Youtube, Spotify or whatever you use to stream/audition new (to you) music. If you love it, buy the double LP. The SQ is very good, the performance is excellent, and it is a good value. Comes with a free digital download coupon too.
Avalanches-“Since I Left You”

Re-release. Outrageous! Goosebumps.
Playing this on my Pro-Ject RPM10 with 34 yr old Grace F9e and brand new OCL stylus from Sound-Smith and 34 yr old back-up BELLES pre as my Rogue Magnum 99 is at Rogue for upgrade.  I had not heard from Avalanches for so long until about a year ago when the re-release came out.
My studio is only 10 feet deep- near-field Focal speakers. I heard in-phase music coming from behind me!  That was  a surprising and shocking first.
 Fantastic pressing.
