Tube recommendations
While I'm guilty of tube rolling and have favorites, without knowing the pre you have and the type of sound you prefer any advice I (or any of us) could give would be a shot in the dark.  So what pre do you have?  And what change in sound are you ...
Doug Schroeder Method, Double ic
While I admit I haven't tried it, adding more connections to the chain seems to me to be asking for signal degradation.  Also, I'd rather not double the number of already overpriced interconnects in my system.  Please explain what the advantage is...
Best tube dampers that you have used
For small octal tubes Andy Bouwman of Vintage Tube Services made some very heavy brass dampers that were extremely effective.  Not sure that he still makes them, you should check with him.  I might be selling mine at some point, I have more than I...
Best Rocking Speakers 15K and Under
Given that you've listened to the Magicos four times, I think that they may be what you're looking for.  Sometimes it's best to trust your feelings...
Best Rocking Speakers 15K and Under
You might listen to some ATC speakers, especially the powered ones (great for rock, IMHO), or perhaps another pair of JBLs?
Dvorak - The Nine Symphonies - Istvan Kertesz
I believe that the Murray Hill recordings were licensed from the original label that made the recording, sort of like what Time Life used to do.  That made for decent performances but not the best records or pressings (for example, I have a Time L...
Replacing my Krell FPB 600 amp with a tube amp
You could try a higher-powered VTL amp, but I still don't think a tube amp will control your speakers as well as the Krell does.
Int Amp for Thiel CS 3.7
The question more should be which sound signature do you prefer.  The Thiels do a good job of reproducing what is given them; I can't imagine them not sounding terrific with either of those amplifiers.  Any way you could audition those amps to see...
Int Amp for Thiel CS 3.7
An Ayre integrated might work well.
Long lost songs
Definitely the Blues Project's Wake Me Shake Me, from their Projections album.  Great guitar work by Danny Kalb.  Last part of the line you mention is "before the heaven doors close".
Who wants the best improvement in their system EVER!
Is this Bo1972 in disguise?
Recommendation for a modern Duntech Sovereign 2001 replacement
As for shipping the Sovereigns, Audiotroy mentioned ABF Airfreight, you might try them; I believe that a friend of mine also uses them when he sells overseas.  As an aside, when I sold my Princesses, I didn't have boxes, so the buyer drove up from...
Recommendation for a modern Duntech Sovereign 2001 replacement
I also loved the Duntech sound (had Princesses for many years, the Sovereigns were too big for my room).  For the big sound that you are used to you could try the Maggie 20 series or the Dynaudio Evidence line of speakers (I liked the Temptations ...
Basis Audio Fans
I have not, though I have understood that the family was keeping the business running, save for the Work of Art TT, which apparently was AJ's baby (a friend of mine had ordered one and told me that he had to cancel for that reason).  Nice thing ab...
Isolation stands: snakeoil?
Agree with mapman.  Some turntables (my basis Ovation. for example) have a suspension system capable of essentially eliminating the need for a complex isolation stand, but some (my old original Well Tempered TT, to a lesser extent, but many inexpe...
