Amplifier Hum - A Problem Solved
There could be several possibilities for the hum.1) The sub amp itself might need to be grounded to an external ground. This could be especially true if the sub amp is plugged into a different circuit than the rest of the rig. This would cause a g...
Vibration Isolation
geoffkait.  ". . . the best approach, generally speaking, to vibration isolation and resonance control is the deliberate and coordinated implementation of a combination of mass on spring type isolation and vibration damping for the top plate of th...
What power cord do you like most on your amp ?
Over the years, I’ve tried many power cords on my Class A SS amp @100w/ch. I finally found one where a piano sounds like a piano.  It’s a Clarus Crimson HC.  Great with the amp, no so much with source components.
Storing Unused Audio Equipment
@gdnrbob I’ve heard about using rice. But, for run & gun location shooting (photography), there’s too much danger of the grains getting pulverized. The tiny particles could easily find their way into the delicate camera or lens mechanisms. If ...

mr_m. . . I am not a businessman . . . Obviously, not. Drawing a weekly paycheck vs creating your own start-up is worlds apart. Individualism, creativity and courage - to go where others fear to tread - were praised as American ideals. Now, onlin...
