I advise you all stick with smaller dogs
My German Shorthaired Pointer does the exact same thing (with the exact same knotted rope toy. Fortunately not in my audio room yet. But maybe it's time to get rid of that toy since I'm NOT going to get rid of the dog at this point . . . she's too...
B&K PT5 Preamp/Tuner mystery volume
this is a long shot maybe, but if you put tape over the remote receiver sensor does it still do it? if so, perhaps something in the room is emitting IR at that frequency.
Bi-Amping
. . . not sure you really want this to be your primary criteria for speaker purchase. I would not. Rather, pick the speakers that sound like and look like what you really want, and cost w/i your budget. In all likelihood they will have dual bindin...
Packaging Services
I don't trust anyone to pack them but myself. There are a few places around that sell boxes. Uhaul has some good t ply boxes, and some of the better packing stores do too (not the UPS store). Buy Styrofoam insulation at hope depot for padding and ...
Miles Davis
FWIW I have a couple of Miles Davis LP's that were digitally remastered and would say they are worth having, but not true audiophile level. One of then was digitally converted to "simulated stereo", which is kind of unsatisfying.
How much would you sell B&K 200.7
check the A'gon Bluebook. It will tell you what they have sold for. You can also check ebay - do a search on auctions that have completed sold.
PONO: Neil Young's New Delivery System?
I have the same question. He says it's "as close to analog as digital can get" (on Letterman 2 nights ago). I did a quick google search and didn't turn um much detail other than what he showed on Letterman. It will include a music delivery system ...
Ebay LP Purchases
I would echo what Photon says.
Best Speaker Impedence for Tube Amplifiers
it depends on the amp - in particular the output transformer. The one rule I've seen is when your amp has multiple output taps (eg 4 ohms, 8 ohms, and 16 ohms), you are best off using the one that uses the greatest amount of windings - which is th...
The best way to break in speakers.
I was told to play my Totems at medium (medium-high if desired), but not super loud. Here's the text from the owner manual: . . . hours of actual music playing time as a minimal break-in period. During this time, refrain from playing them at very ...
Best tube integrated? anyone know?
Manley Stingray should be in the discussion
Table for Clearaudio Satisfy
I have a Satisfy mounted on a Pink Triangle PT1. It's the best arm I've used on it. Your question is a little confusing though - it can be mounted on most turntables provided you have the mounting collar. It's a standard Rega mount. Since I assume...
Rack/shelf for albums - suggestions please
my Expedit shelve are loaded full, absolutely no sagging. The cubes are the perfect size for LPs too.
Rack/shelf for albums - suggestions please
If you have Ikea nearby - the Expedit shelf is great, and inexpensive.
Solid Epoxy Resin Platform -
