| Focal Aria 926/936 The 948 is virtually identical to the 936 in every possible way! It projects the mid-range a bit differently because of the much wider baffle and that's about it. The 826W is arguably a better speaker than the 926 and performs quite similarly to t... | |
| Focal Aria 926/936 Huh.... I've heard the 906, 926, and 948 all in the same room. That certainly wasn't the case. The 948 was vastly superior in bass depth and volume. That room was probably 4 times larger than what the OP is working with. Indeed in an anechoic envi... | |
| Focal Aria 926/936 Canibefrank,I for one couldn't care less about anything Tekton makes. Kinda tired of the Tekton fanboys trying to be the marketing department, too. When you buy Focal you know you're getting grills and the same parts in the speakers every time. No... | |
| Matching Speakers to amp Auxinput,There's a difference between saying a class of amp can't do a job and saying that the power supply behind it is incompetent. | |
| Focal Aria 926/936 I listened to the 948 (just as tall as the 936) and the 926 in the same room for several hours before buying the 936. The tweeter height isn't an issue. I do the same thing with my 936's jerroldls does with his 948's. You'll be listening a little ... | |
| Matching Speakers to amp @georgehifi What are you talking about??? Class D amps are the entire reason .5 and 1 ohm subwoofer drivers exist on the car audio market! They drive low impedance loads very well! And there you go about MOSFETs again! Yeah... You're going to hear... | |
| preamp inverts polarity @cleeds I didn't invent the idea or make the observation that air is a single ended medium. By definition it is and it exactly parallels how a single ended class A amplifier works. Atmospheric pressure is the parallel of bias in a single ended amp... | |
| preamp inverts polarity @thom_mackris Atmasphere will probably take me to task on this, but I ended up debating the difference between phase and polarity with another fellow and was eventually convinced that there is a clear and technical difference. Polarity isn't time ... | |
| preamp inverts polarity @geoffkait I figured you would since it's WAY over your level of comprehension. | |
| preamp inverts polarity @geoffkait You make no sense. What you're saying here and up above makes no sense. What's more, you can't come close to proving it this or that was mastered in one polarity or another. The polarity of the fundamentals make no difference whatsoever... | |
| preamp inverts polarity The transmission characteristics of air certainly don't resemble electrically balanced operation. And no doubt there's more to the character of a triode than how it distorts in a SET. Its undeniable that many fans of SETs like them because they di... | |
| preamp inverts polarity Kalali,It’s pretty simple. The bias level in a single ended amp defines how negative a signal it can pull it down. If the source drives it below that bias level, the gain device goes more non-linear and eventually shuts off completely. It’s the el... | |
| preamp inverts polarity @geoffkait Yeah, I can hear polarity. Been playing with that a while on my amp. @cleeds You kinda pointed out the point I was making. You can only decompress air to a vacuum. But you can compress air until it begins to change phase. Sea level air ... | |
| preamp inverts polarity I don't buy this nonsense about half or most recordings being out of phase or polarity or whatever you want to call it. It doesn't even make sense on it's face. Inverting the polarity completely changes the presence of the sound. Air is a single e... | |
| High quality USB-C to USB-B cable. Does such a thing exist? USB type C 3.1 gen. 1 have a maximum length of 2 meters and gen. 2 cables are limited to a meter. You're not going to find quality type C cables that violate the spec. Your best bet is to use a type B cable and an adapter. |
